Blackhawk offers high resolution seismic surveys for geothermal, petroleum and mineral exploration and development in the Western U.S., particularly in the Basin and Range Province. Our energy source is an iVi EnviroVibe, with additional or larger Vibes when necessary. We use a modern Geometrics 24-bit distributed recording system with built in QC capabilities. The EnviroVibe source has obtained useful data to more than 5000 feet and is easier to permit and has lower mobilization costs than larger vibrators. The EnviroVibe is particularly suited for data acquisition in environments which contain infrastructure or where shooting on roads, including paved roads, is required. The EnviroVibe has also proven to be a cost-effective source for VSP surveys.
