Blackhawk offers high resolution seismic surveys for shallow petroleum and coal bed methane exploration. Our energy sources are the iVi EnviroVibe and the CGG-developed P-Shooter accelerated weight drop syste. We use a modern Geometrics 24-bit distributed recording system with built in QC capabilities. The EnviroVibe and P-Shooter sources are easier to permit and have lower mobilization costs than larger vibrators. The EnviroVibe is particularly suited for data acquisition in environments which contain infrastructure or where shooting on roads, including paved roads, is required. The EnviroVibe has also proven to be a cost-effective source for VSP surveys.
