Blackhawk, in coordination with the URS Group, Carter & Burges, and the FHWA - CFLHD, conducted a geophysical investigation along a 9-mile section of Saddle Road designated for improvements. One objective of the project was to locate the presence of lava tubes (voids) along the 9-mile section of road and determine the depth and the approximate width of the lava tube opening.

Blackhawk was contracted by Tailor Made Development (TMD) to conduct a geophysical investigation to image voids associated with old mine works beneath undeveloped property. The survey was designed using the reverse vertical seismic profiling (RVSP) geophysical imaging method.
|
Blackhawk conducted a non-destructive geophysical investigation on sound wall pillar structures. The purpose of the geophysical investigation was to assess the interior conditions of these structures so that appropriate remediation and maintenance can be applied.
